Back to what I was saying about martial arts: What I want is fluidity of movement, punctuated with hard strikes (preferably kicks) and pressure point manipulation/joint locks.

These are my natural tendencies of movement and, in restarting martial arts training, I want to accommodate them.

I've mainly been thinking Hapkido, as it shares elements with both Tae Kwon Do (which I've taken) and Aikido (the form and content of which has always fascinated me), but I don't know for sure, as I haven't gotten to observe any classes, yet.

Regina Spektor - [Small Town Moon]--- The question I need to ask of the (probably small intersection of) people who A) Have A Fairly Wide Variety of Martial Arts Experience, and B) have actually seen me move is this:

Regina Spektor - [Oh Marcello]--- What Style Would You Recommend I Take?

This may well be my birthday present to myself.

V used to take Hapkido at GSU, they have a very good instructor and he loved it. He thinks it would be a great fit - fluid soft power, not force on force. You might check to see if any of the schools that you teach at offer it in their gyms (if they have them), might be a good way to observe before throwing down any money. Or youtube might have some good examples as well.
