I'm maybe 1/10th of the way to my fundraising goals.

In order to have a fundraising party, I need A) A venue, and B) people willing to perform gratis to help me raise funds.

I would charge a cover at the door, a separate charge for a bowl to partake in a LARGE pot of food (pasta, chili, whatever), another charge for a cup to get in on a keg, and items to buy at a bake sale.

There could be art for sale, and bands performing, and various performance art acts.

The problem is, I used to know people in bands, I used to know circus performers, I used to know stunt co-ordinators and strippers and all kinds of people. Now I just "know" those people, and they have either no particular love for me (nor desire to help me out, for free), or have turned "respectable."

I need space (cheep or free), and I need volunteers.

The problem is, no one gets recompense out of this. Maybe a VERY small cut of the door.

The cost/benefit ratio is... upsetting and right now I need Offers, not Suggestions.

Anyway. Fundraising thoughts. They're depressing me.

Hmm ... what about a wet t-shirt contest? It's summer and volunteers for that don't need any particular skills.
