To Restate: What you'll find at This Link is but one part of my Fundraising Arm for my Conference Expenses. it is not the only arm. There will also be a fundraising party, possibly with art and baked goods for sale.

the wepay website wont take my payments... no idea.

anyway. since i can't directly donate money via your linked method, just consider my donation the fact that you and kirsten dont have to pay me for march, april, or may's gas utilities.

it would seem that the reason i cannot use that website in conjunction with my visa is that my bank auto-blocks the transaction as being the result of a hacked/stolen card.

O.o That is super weird. Is it part of that "Automatic fraud protection" crap where they try to predict the kinds of things you spend money on, and anything outside of that range is Blocked?

And, if so, aren't they supposed to call you about it, to be sure?

it is part of that automatic-whoosits. only these fuckers apparently have a whole separate department for making the call and while years ago i used to recieve calls all the time, these days i dont learn that something has been blocked due to suspected fraud unless i call them. i discovered this, to my dismay, while trying to pay my tuition for culinary school. at which point i learned that i not only had a per-transaction spending limit on my account but that paying the Art Institute was a highly suspect thing to be doing.
