Yeah, Why Not
Mar. 18th, 2012 08:12 pmPut your media player of choice on shuffle.
1) The overall theme for the Apocalypse: Tori Amos - [Twinkle]
2) The one that plays during your first zombie/demon/vampire/etc kill: Shinjukku Filth - [Car] (starts at 3'33'')
3) Plays while you’re getting chased by a horde: Robert Rich - [Folded Space] (that's a very atmospheric chase scene)
4) Plays when you’re forced to kill a loved one: ...The first was Tenacious D's "Cock Pushups," which, A) isn't technically a song, and B) ... No. So, Veruca Salt - [Twinstar]
5) Plays when you find your new love interest: Electric Hellfire Club - [Wired in Blood] (...I think I'm the bad guy in this movie)
6) Plays when you make your final stand: Gary Numan - Absolution [Extended] (Definitely the bad guy...)
7) Plays when you (think you) make it through it all: The Little Willies - [I Gotta Get Drunk]
8) Plays when you discover a bite/mark on you: Deadsy - [Sleepy Hollow] (This is either a post-credits or credits lead-in).
Well that was creepily apt.

Date: 2012-03-19 01:58 pm (UTC)Theoretically workable for an "overall theme," since it consists of 32 girls introducing themselves, declaring seat number, and saying what their deal is, all in song.
2) First Monster Kill: Chicago - [Harry Truman]
At this point I am positive my apocalypse story is a comedy.
3) While chased by a horde: Tori Amos - [Pretty Good Year]
There are points in the song where her voice speaks to a kind of desperation, I suppose. The trick is the entire song doesn't have to be right. For a film you only need about a 15-45 second clip of it.
4) When forced to kill a loved one: Ragnarok - [Beloved of the Raven God]
Um. Perhaps the writers decided trite, ironic music would be in poor taste at this point. Even for a comedy.
5) When new love interest is found: Green Green - [M-12]
This is an instrumental electric guitar piece with synth backup. Totally grand for finding an apocalyptic punk babe.
6) During the Final Stand: Green Green - [M-35-A]
This is a quiet piano piece. Again with the ironic music choice for the dangerous bits, because it's a comedy.
7) The moment of believing in safety: Stone Temple Pilots - [Vaseline]
Probably diegetic music, given the intro for the new love interest. We made it, so we're gonna party.
8) The Twist to Despair: Initial D - [Doctor Love]
Doctor doctor love
I need a magic potion
Give give give it all to me
Doctor doctor love
I know you're a magician
Bad bad bad medicine
All in all, it is a very silly movie, clearly making fun of the genre.
