Forget what I said about my car being fixed. Something is actively leaking. Car is Overheating. Short term fix: Buy more coolant, keep refilling.

[livejournal.com profile] unknownbinaries found a loose hose next to the oil filter. I've refitted it, and tightened it. Let's see if that fixes it.

Wasn't it. Still leaking, and I think I know from where. It requires disassembly and a new rubber gasket. But I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THAT, TODAY.

I have to leave to head to Kennesaw in 30 minutes. I don't even have time to fucking shower at this point.

V sez:
1) Is the radiator fan functioning?
2) If you must drive, try driving with your heat on full blast (it will help cool the engine).
3) How fast is the coolant leaking, and from where?
4) Is the seal on your radiator cap tight? Does it emit any air?
5) Autozone or similar places will often scan your car computer for free, and the error codes *might* provide some insight.

Here is a troubleshooting guide that probably applies to your car, not sure what year you have but a lot of models are very similar: http://techauto.awardspace.com/overheating.html

Let us know how it goes, he's been learning the ins and out of his Civic every time something breaks.
