Really, then, the question becomes how many such stories - across the populace - involve food. What if the reason people tell Shania Mayonnaise Stories is just because the eating of food is a topic everyone can relate to, which means on average more people give positive feedback to those stories, which means on average people tell those stories more often? I mean, if I tell you a story and you give me a blank look, am I really going to tell it again as readily as if you laugh?
