wolven7 | Sandman Slim and Job "Meet and Greets"

So, for Wintermas,

unknownbinaries got me the first book in Richard Kadrey's Sandman Slim series. I started really reading it, on the 16th, after i finished reading JD Salinger's Nine Stories, which, have you ever read Salinger's Nine Stories? Because, seriously: "Teddy." Just damn.

Anyway, I finished Sandman Slim, today. Yes, in about 2 or 3 days. Kadrey writes a damn compelling, seriously funny book.

But now it's over and I need more.

In other news, today I went out to Georgia Perimeter College's Dunwoody campus, to meet with the head of their Humanities Department. A month or so ago, back before the start of the semester, he emailed me to ask if I could teach a couple of their Comparaive Religious Traditions courses. I couldn't, because at the time I hadd three classes at Kenessaw (the limit in the Universty System of Georgia, for Part Time), but he stillw anted to meet with me.

Today he basically told me that if they have any openings for Summer and/or FAll, I'll be the first to know.

ext_325066 noted today that things seemed to be looking up for me, in terms of Job Prospects-- all of a sudden, everyone's got them a jones for some Damien. And you know what? I'll take it.

But that's the long game (Which I am definitely playing), and right now my short game prospects are looking mighty light.

I need cash, is what I'm saying.

Finally, I just want to remind everyone how much of a travesty it was that Katee Sackhoff didn't get the role of Deena Pilgrim in the TV adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis' Powers.
