Dinner tonight: Veal and Sage Raviolli with an
unknownbinaries-prepared marinara consisting of tomato, basil, garlic, rosemary, cumin, assiago, and parmigiano reggiano.
In addition, the sauce contains one large chicken breast which was cubed and pan seared in rendered prosciutto and fresh-cracked black pepper. I then deglazed the pan with red wine and added the whole mixture to the simmering sauce.
The whole of the components for this meal cost roughly $15 (wine and all), and will feed two people for four meals [Edit: That is To Say, four meals will be had, two by two people.]. Possibly more, because of the added chicken. With the addition another chicken breast, it would feed even more. And it'll be fucking delicious.
That ain't half bad.

Date: 2011-09-20 08:46 am (UTC)For my part, I spent $21 on cheese.
I have no regrets.
(also, GOD DAMN we want to come over to your place for dinner!)

Date: 2011-09-22 05:16 pm (UTC)I think this sounds misleading, and like it ended up being eight meals. Maybe 'dinner for two evenings, for the both of us', or even 'four meals, for two people' would be more accurate.
