Being a monster can get somewhat lonely.

I'm surprised I still care about that, sometimes.

Indeed. But these days I feel better a lone monster, than lonely-with-pretend-monsters. It's always such a letdown when you think briefly that you've met a monster, only to discover you've met a hairless ape with delusions of grandeur.
