wolven7God Lives Underwater - [Happy]--- I woke up an hour ago (3.30, pm), then called Devin to get a ride to work. And now here i am. I talked to Marcus, at about 6.57, this morning, and he was trying to get me to stay, an extra hour, because someone wasn't going to be able to come into Work. Hah... Drugs. That's what he's on, and what i would have needed, because i was falling asleep Standing Up. The End. I told him, "Hey Marcus, there's a problem with my schedule, here: Not only do you have me working fifteen hours straight, you have me working an Over night, on Sunday. I can't Do a Sunday/Monday overnight, and you know it. I have Class Monday." (KMFDM - [These Boots Are Made for Walkin' (Candy Remix)). And, again, he sounded surprised. As if i hadn't told him this three times, and had it Written On My Application, in Rus' Office. So, he said he'd change it.
Devin and Rob have both told me something very sobering, and something i've been realising on a preconscious level: There eventually comes a point when no money is better than this incompetence, this degradation. This Shit.
So, yeah. i've got to look and see what classes i can get, which i'm taking and then i register. (Deadsy - [Key to Grammercy Park]). I am displeased with this Only Online notification, and class listings, and registration. I'm a big fan of having multiple avenues, to follow, in case of emergency. It seems that the Bureaucracy, here at Georgia state, doesn't agree with this ideal. They apply the Fuck It, Delete It, school, to everything, with a frightful capriciousness. Working and non, even when there's not a damn thing wong with the old, and a little Augmentation is all that's necessary. Augment, gods damn it. (System of a Down - [Chop Suey]). Do you need it? Yes. Is it serving you well? Yes. Is it making you feel not as cool as the other schools? Yes? Awww. Poor baby... Fuckers.
VNV Nation - [Darkangel (Azrael)]--- I'm simply bloody tired of these Kafkaesque/Orwellian machinations of these large systems, over which i have little to no control, despite what the Bureaucrats In Charge would Like me to believe. There is little to no room for any Serf-Class-led Change, in these systems, because that threatens the established Order. We can voice our ideas and our opinions, but they will, most likely, come to little. They must mesh with the program, and be part of what THEY see as "The Larger Whole." If you want a Larger Whole, strive to be All-Encompassing, you Fucks. Drive to be accepting of, and not Threatened By, new ideas, and then, Maybe, You can say that you've done the best job for your students. For your Staff. For yourself.
The Changelings - [Flowers Cover Your Eyes]--- And i will keep looking to the betterment of all Institutions and bureaucracies, for as long as i live. Which, considering a few key factors, may not be all that long. I'm kidding, i guess... Have you ever noticed how stupid the WORD "bureaucracy" is? It's another one of those words that exemplifies the idiocy of the english language. We can't leave things up to context, and understanding, and explanation, no. We have to convolute our words, our speech, and our grammatical cases, thus making our language one of the Hardest Languages on the PLANET to learn. The word even Looks convoluted and unnecessary....
