Super Last Minute Dragon*Con Poll:
Aug. 31st, 2010 12:24 amI'm only asking these questions because, my first year, I was meant to have a PP, but the projector was not forthcoming, and I did the whole thing as an extemporaneous talk, with no visual aids. It seemed to go over Pretty Well. But last year, I went to great lengths to build a PPP, and it seemed to fall... a bit flat. People seemed more distracted than edified by the slides, and my timing felt off.
But my father makes a fine point: Some people are visual learners, and need diagrams. And if I'm going to do diagrams, I should probably have some kind of images realated to the things about which I'm talking.
So, the poll. This one's a two-parter:
1) Are you coming to my Dollhouse presentation on Sunday?
2) If you are, would you prefer a Power Point Presentation or would you not care?
If you're going to answer, put a rush on it, would you? Only the Con is in four days, and I should probably have the damn thing done, by then.
Cheers.

Date: 2010-08-31 02:03 pm (UTC)2 - For my learning style, I would prefer a presentation that's too specific to distract, such that you only refer to it at such times as a visual is necessary; akin to illustrations every five pages or so in textbooks.
