NONE OF THEM have my stances on evil,m expecially not the first one, because the test, itself was not actually geared toward my thinking. Evil is Necesarry. not a mistake, or a slip up, but Evil, and, also, a defining point, to Good. Grrrr....

Stoopid Tests....

you are being picky...

some of these religions incorporate what you believe... some of them disagree, it's true... the idea that good and evil are defined only in relative terms is pretty much a given in philosophy and most religions, when pressed, will admit the same. Aside from pure heaven/hell reward/punishment mentality, most religions bypass that idea as an end to itself and focus more on the decision-making process or the strict definitions of the term "evil" i.e. "thou shalt not___".

As a bit of example, may I point out that even the vaguely basic definition that is given on the website attached to the test clearly says that Liberal Quakers do not place much importance on the question of "what is evil" or "why is evil" because the religion is focused on the idea of human intervention towards suffering. Liberal Quakers do not have a "church-wide" position on questions such as the definition of evil, the focal point of salvation or the validity of Christianity as supreme theology. The only defining characteristics of Liberal Quakers are recognizing the individual spirit (or God-essence or consciousness) within all people, recognizing the connection to all life and using actions to show one's convictions. It says so in the text and I know it to be so from experience.

Do not be so quick to judge. Perhaps you are focusing on the wrong question.

(Yes, I am an avowed Quaker; a Taoist, Wiccan, Scientifico-agnostic Quaker. I am as welcome in Meeting for worship as the Christians, the Atheists and the lesbian Jews)

I understand your point....

MY point is that the religions listed for you mostly are unconcerned with explaining the existance of evil as a seperate entity anyway therefore your point is moot. I did not decide this so you needn't get miffed with me.

What I find mildly amusing about this is that according to this test, I'm more of a pagan than you... online tests really are only good for the amusement value, I think. Taking them too seriously is pointless.
