I perform the actions I say I'm going to perform. If I say that, at a specific time, I'm going to do the dishes, or the laundry, or have a conversation, I do it.
If I feel like I am avoiding something, or like I would rather Not do that thing, right then, I do it.
I use these two things to create a timeline, for myself, and beheviours that make me a man of my word. (It's a little trick of redirected mental force-- an inversion of intent and desire, rerouted into something useful. Besides, when it's done, I don't have to think about it, anymore. No more anticipation, no more fretting over "How Will It Go?" Shit like that. The down side to this is, I spend more time waiting for people to respond, and I am not a patient man.)
Pay close attention to the words I use, because I choose them, very carefully, to mean exactly what I intend.
That's all, for now.
