Sitting in the Bookstore at the Limit Of Time-- which is not the End of Time, but the physicalised instantiation of how people perceive things like New Years and "The Turn Of The Century"-- on New Year's Eve/Day, combing the stacks with unknownbinaries, and talking to my father and William Gibson. We talk, as equals and peers, and I call him "Bill," and he makes a point of showing that he remembers me, calling me by my first name.

Something, then, about moving through the mall. Don't remember all of it.

In other news, I was thinking about doing a meme, today. Maybe harkening back to one of my old "Write you a Haiku," or "Tell You What Song Makes Me Think Of You" memes. Something offering, but then I saw this one, over on shinysayyadina's place, and some other places:

I would make sure you became intoxicated, because that goofy, broad smile and the associated loss of inhibition and pretense that you get only (as of our last meeting) when intoxicated is a wonder to behold, and does all of our souls good.
