So, I'm online, on the laptop, again. But now all my old clients (Semagic, LJArchive, Etc.) don't work on Ubuntu. So, file conversion, ahoy.

Linux: For people who love to bash their head against a problem, until it works.

Anyway, in better news, here's a picture of me Rocking ASS, on Saturday, September 5th: http://www.flickr.com/photos/7494391@N07/3921435837/ Yeah. I Do look great in that suit.

[Edit: Client Working. A little closer to fine.]

Why, exactly, are you so intent on using Linux? You clearly don't particularly like it. There's no particular shame in not using it.

Of course I suppose "because it's there" is a valid reason, if it happens to be yours.

I am kind of surprised you're having so many issues getting Ubuntu set up, though. It's been a while since I've had a Linux partition but of all the distributions I'd tried, Ubuntu was hands-down the most hassle-free to set up, and that was on Apple hardware, even.

Totally wasn't surprised to hear about your issues with ndiswrapper, though. That's almost universally a bitch to get set up at first.

Because it's something new to try. Running it from the disk was easy and intuitive, but the install seems to have been incomplete, and a bitch and a half to get fixed.

It's not that I don't like it, it's that it has presented me with a series of problems. Which means they must be destroyed.
