Over on Wednesday Shuffle, moonandserpent has a very trenchant counterpoint, to my article, with a few points I'd never have thought of. Go read it, then read those books.

I woke up to e-mail from someone wanting to interview me, today, because of my column. I need to do some research, and some thought on it. Plus I need to finish my Damn Dragon*Con presentation.

Oh, speaking of which, looks like I'm not going to get guest status, for that. Which... Kind of pisses me off. I really wish they had gotten back to me, about this, or my follow-up e-mail, prior to rates going up. Or, you know, AT ALL. That is No way to run a railroad.

The silver "Inu" tag you gave me, for Christmas in... 2001, I believe? It broke, a while back, and precipitated me thinking about a lot of the symbolism I had invested in various gifts, from people. The process of the birthday ritual took shape from the deconstruction of those symbols :)
