I have to meet you in person, like... in a bar or something, so that you'll do that for me. Because... Neat.
I can do it for Phantom of the Opera (not the movie, but the actual Weber one), all sung parts and musical bits, but I figure that's sort of 'less' cool because people just *do* memorize songs, y'know?
--Can tie up to 4 knots in a Cherry Stem with my Tongue. --Always wins in No-Blink contests with Cats. --Always tears up at end of Blade Runner, during Roy Battys'Death Monologue
I have the ability to tell my friends hard truths with complete caring and wanting the best for them. These are often things they don't want to hear. And yet they stay my friend.
I can bench press 14,282 pounds. I once won a debate with Winston Churchill. I possess the innate ability to instantly know the weather of any place on Earth. Several years ago, I saved a small Guatemalan village from an army of ruthless bandits using only a shovel and a glass of water. I can hold my breath for up to ten minutes. I am the only man to ever solve a Rubik's Cube in less than ten seconds. I speak fluent binary and can communicate vocally with computers.
There are probably a few other things, too, but I can't think of them at the moment.
I am a truly excellent writer. I am a ninja. I am a kind, but wary geek who plays Tetris on his 11 year old Gameboy Pocket. I can cook well, almost as good as Yan can. I am a very good listener and an extremely sincere speaker.
I am pretty certain I can recite Star Wars Episode 4 from beginning to end, though I have not tried since 1997.
I can sing while brushing my teeth, and not sound garbled.
I know a fair deal of prestidigitation, and use it in waiting rooms to amuse myself and any other screaming (or soon to be screaming) children.
I can dramatically change the size of my pupils at will.
I can reproduce nearly any accent overlaid on English.
I can reproduce (on the piano) the melody line of nearly any song, and memorize all sung parts/harmonies after hearing it about 3 times or less. I can also imitate the voice/style of dozens of different artists, while singing.
I can tell you what ingredients are in most dishes, based on taste/smell, (provided I've eaten the ingredients before, obviously).
I can decode most optical and aural illusions without hints.
I can always feel my pulse in my fingertips, but I have low blood pressure.
I am what is known as a 'Jack of All Trades'. I have yet to find a thing that I cannot do with a more-than-marginal degree of success, once I've experienced it once or twice, other than pee standing up, and I've almost got that one down.
Oddly, it's the second to last one that impresses me, more than the others. How the hell do you manage that?
As to your last? I'm the opposite: I can do anything PERFECTLY and Without Effort, the FIRST time I do it. Every time after that, I need to try, practice, and work.
My self-esteem is like a rock, virtually untouched by praise or criticism. Very little throws me—except my sense of empathy/sentiment.
I am a very quick learner. (On the flipside, I'm a very quick forgetter.)
I *never* stretch, yet I can bend my thumb backwards to my wrist, place my heels behind my ears, lick the bottom of my nose, and perform various other feats of flexibility.
I don't feel the need to update everyone on the status of my sandwich construction, whether or not i have socks on or about vague and entirely forgettable sentiments via facebook, myspace or titter.
I can exist perfectly well without having to have someone, somewhere checking on my whereabouts every fourteen seconds.
I can listen to anyone explain anything and unless they are lying to me, COMPLETELY understand and empathize with them to the extent that I can then expound upon their own explanation and word it better and extrapolate it to other situations.
I empathize so well, I can situationally BE someone else. Even if I still think they suck.
and I'm constantly figuring out people ulterior an subconcious motives but they never believe me when I try to tell them. That trick itsn't so fun
I can hum with my mouth open (you can too, if you try it! I'm amazing because I shared this fact with you, too)
I can write, I suppose fairly well.
I have memorized every line of The Princess Bride, right down to the sound effects, timing, number of times Vizzini laughs before he keels over and the exact sound Buttercup makes as she gets to the end of the ravine after tumbling after Westley (it's "oot!" you'll find, if you listen).
I am a pirate, who lived the first years of her life in Blackwater, Cornwall, England, but I also study tae kwon do. Nonetheless, pirates are still superior. *glare*
To prove this, I have converted a long-time ninja to the pirate side using my cunning skills of persuasion and sheer passion.
I trained a 150-lb St. Bernard to walk at heel, off leash, in a woods with deer, and to sit next to me while they walked across the path ahead of us.
I earned two New York State Associated Press Association awards for reporting (many years ago).
I can sight-read in three clefs while playing cello.
I have at various times memorized most (if not all) of the stage versions of Camelot, The Sound of Music, The Music Man, Carousel, Oklahoma, as well as lengthy sections of As You Like It, Romeo and Juliet, Twelfth Night and Macbeth.
I spin wool, silk and tencel on drop spindles; wool, mohair and wool-silk blends on a spinning wheel.
I used to have a vocal range of three octaves, from the A below middle C to the A above high C, but it's shifted down to high C on the top and lower G (borderline F) below middle C now.
I can write sonnets fairly easily, because if I try I can think in iambic pentameter.
Also, I have hypnotized a squirrel (with tai chi).
I have the ability to be entirely myself, a unique entity, that remains unswayed by those but the closest to me. Unfortunately, it is those few that can crush utterly that which no one else can touch or falter.
I have a fervent belief that there is an inherent good in everyone. Some good is harder to see than others.
I try to take the worst things in my life and view them with an optimistic glow - even when the world as I know it is crashing down. Simply put - the bad things in life are only made worse if you worry/stress about them.
I am me. I am a simple, unique human being, capable of love, hate, pain, joy, hope, fear, and conscious intelligent thought. And I am living my life to the best I can, every day.
I am very good at telling when someone is lying, but only face to face.
I have gotten very good at cooking in a very short time, and can admit that now.
I'm in ridiculously good shape.
I've learned everything I know about computers, other than a few graphics programs that had been required in college, on my own. No classes, just peers, trial and error, poking around and the Internet.
I can recognise written (transliterated or no) and (sometimes) spoken languages, even if I don't understand them.
I lived a decent lifestyle, even by this country's standards, on four thousand dollars last year.
I adapt well when I have to. I make things happen that need to, whatever way I can.
Was the "broadcasting" thing amazing? Because I think I do that a lot, but I don't really have any control over it for the most part. I think I have the potential to receive pretty well also, except that it drove me insane and I have a lot of makeshift blocks now. I don't know how much of that potential is in everyone, but I would suspect at least some. My guess is that I have a lot, but I don't really know.
My real skill is that I figure things out. That's it. I'm really good at it. Probably AMAZING at it, but it feels weird to say that. :D

Date: 2009-06-30 06:25 pm (UTC)I can predict a persons behavior with a good degree of accuracy, and I dont actually have to know them in person to do so.
Also I can recite the entirety of The Crow, from beginning to end including sounds, back ground noise and line for line.
