The Tower The Past and Present collide and destruction reigns supreme so keep everything in its proper place and in perspective.
Take care of both your history and future b/c if you lose them, you lose all knowledge and that would be most terrible and calamitous.
One or both, I don't know. Maybe that says something, too.
The Star Huh. That's a weird looking one...
Looking at the male and female symbols at the bottoms of this and The Tower leads me to think the Tower could mean men destroy everything, including that which they created or built, while women give up all they have, or freely give when giving is needed, restricting themselves in the process, but to what end? Is anything or anyone worth that much suffering and sacrifice?
The house built on a rock may not stand. Disaster not necessarily caused by humans. Best-laid plans ganging aft agley. I am also reminded of the disaster movie Towering Inferno. Elements stressed: fire and earth.
I'm not sure about The Star. Usually, it is a combination of union and separation -- the woman steps on land and in water, but pours the water in two places -- but this seems to emphasize separation along with a sense of bondage and servitude. The elements stressed seem to be water and air instead of water and earth, which is also unusual
The Tower: The collapse of old ventures or efforts, the eventual dissolution of creative efforts, the endings to your beginnings. Not always orderly, not always pretty, but bound to happen sooner or later. You cant always plan for this, but you dont have to be surprised by it. And when you knock down a building, there's always room for a new one to go up.
The Star: "and i shall pour out upon the waters all kinds of unguents and emollients and floating amid the perfumed waters you shall know the serenity and encapsulation of your pre-birth. Looking up from the floating world of your dark waters you shall see me guiding you onwards and every action you take will be with the surety of knowing i am the truth beyond the truth."
The Tower: You know that I know. Ravenphoenix. Crisis/Catharsis. Chapel Perilous. The break that needs to happen, sometimes.
Star: Every man and woman Is A/We are all just Star Dust. Giving, shriving. Bhakti. Joyous sacrifice and beautiful suffering. Martyrdom, in the best way possible. Little rebirth, in the rubble.
