1) I said they would be True. I never said they would be comfortable, or Profound.
2) Several days ago, the symbol on my necklace broke. It was the Chinese character for "Inu," or Dog-- the symbol for the year I was born-- crafted in sterling silver. The clasp/loop to secure it to the necklace broke, and nothing short of melting it will fix it. These things are available at any "Spiritualist" store, anywhere, in any city, so that's not really an issue. I have small amounts of silver wire, laying around, and people who know how to use it, so that's not the issue.
The issue is, I've had that charm for 8.45 years, now. You can see it [in every picture of me for the last eight and a half years.] It was given to me as a gift, on Christmas in 2000, by
bakeneko, and it's carried a lot of subconscious associations with it, ever since. It breaking, and refusing to stay in place when spot-repaired has brought a Lot of those associations to the fore, and I've come to the conclusion that I don't want it fixed.
I will place it in the same container I use for old things that may come in Useful, later, but I don't think I want to wear it, anymore. If I get anything else, at all, to replace it, I want it to be something that better indicates who and what I am, now.
That is all.
