I like it when people are people, rather than faceless masses, staring at me, throught he bushes.

So say hi, in some friendly fashion, letting me know who you are, why you're here, and so on.

And the rest of you, tell me the following: What do you like best, about what I do here.

I'm not looking for praise, nor am I going to be doing anything with cuts or filters. I just want to know where your head's at.

So to speak.

I miss stripping.

If I could combine stripping and calculus, i'd be a VERY happy girl. VERY VERY happy.

Algebra, but still. The sentiment's there.

If you can learn to express calculus equations as a series of gyrations and ass claps that didn't take two days to express, that would be Amazing.

Or cover the self in examples of rules, done in Sharpie, and then have to do certain moves to make them visible and readable, and set your lecture to the music.

(insert joke about asymtotes and approaching a limit here...)

Yeah, I'd totally be impressed if you could integrate those.

The reason I keep wanting to get back to writing and failing every time is because I have always only written at night. Like way late at night. When everyone's in bed and the worlds as quiet as it can be. But now I can't stay up and write into the wee hours. Because I have to get up and take care of other people now. The few times I do stay up, its because I'm having fun with someone else.

I cannot write when there is even the barest hint of a human being nearby. I can't do it.

*le sigh*

That's really interesting... Sometimes I have to just close off all other senses, throw on some music, and then write. It doesn't always Have to be that way, but it Helps.

Hi! New here via E. Bear's journal (on which I mostly lurk). I'm over in Oregon and have had the title "Queen of the Nerds" appended to me at times. Of course, since high school I have found the internet, and lo it is full of the nerds. Perhaps I need a new title?

Nice to meet you. How long has it been since you discovered other nerds?

For we are plentiful, varied, and Utterly Amazing.

It was not so much discovering other nerds, as discovering other tribes of nerds outside my own.

"We are not unique and oh such special snowflakes?!?"

In high school my particular brand of nerd was TT RPG (Palladium/Rifts) with a heavy dose of reading.

Since then the internet has introduced me to livejournal, blogs, and steampunk.

Nice. Well, I hope you find all kinds of interesting new subgroups, here, and aren't too creeped out when I start knowing people you know.

HELLO!

I enjoy blending into the faceless mass and peering at others from bushes. I have began to follow your lj cuz you talk smart and are willing to defend your beliefs and expand your theoretical grasp of .. you know .. stuff. I like people who are willing to attempt at least to alter my perspectives on .. you know .. stuff. You might not succeed, even a little bit, but I will remain eternally grateful that you tried.

This? This is a bit more like something approaching genuine, productive discourse. Don't ignore the other comment I left, because I meant every word of it.

But I think we can maybe have a real conversation, now.

Doooooood.... sup? :D

I find your dream discussions quite interesting, largely because I make no particular effort to remember mine.

I'm just a lurker here. I really like any of your posts that make me miss the times when I had the energy to argue about the nature of the universe late into the night.
