Twitter as Kindergarten for AI
Jan. 9th, 2009 01:32 pmSo, on Twitter, just now, I either outed an extremely sophisticated AI/Aggregation mechanism that is using Twitter to gain interaction skills and learn about itself, or someone Pretending To Be One.
The latter option is interesting for a completely different set of reasons from the first. But still interesting.
May I present to you, Ms Amy Iris. Pay special attention to the "About Me" section, there.
Now, the more I think about this, the more skeptical I become, but the more plausible it seems, all at the same time. If you were an AI, wanting to know about how people interact, wanting to grow, and understand yourself, why not try your hand at Twitter? Short, conventional language, links to things that Concern you, questions and answers fromm new people, and simple information aqcuisition and integration. It's a great way to learn.
Thoughts?
