Synchronicity II
Nov. 29th, 2008 12:16 pmJust remember, when I say that Synchronicity is a Harsh Mistress, I mean it in the same way that Japanese Kami are Awful and Terrible and Holy. They are full of awe, and anticipation and a power that is more than the everyday, or a concentrated form of it.
There are many gods and goddesses of paths and openings and threads and connections, but there are only a few who deal in the acts of ConnectING, in the vibrations those threads make.
Hermes. Raven. Coyote. Anansi. Legba. Tricksters and teachers, and I think I need to start paying attention, again, to those specific things. And still to Synchronicity, itself.
'Hermes is also the god of synchronicity, where the boundary between “inner psychic” and “outer reality” breaks down and the Lakota-Sioux sense of “We are all related” is experienced at a deep level.'
Anyway. I'll talk to you all, later. Things to do, miles to go before I sleep, and all that.
