The Conventions of Human Sacrifice
Nov. 20th, 2008 01:30 amAnyway, today has kind of failed me. I'm tired and cranky, and still feeling kind of like I'm not getting the correspondence that I should be getting.
On the other hand, I used the spaced-out downtime at work, today, to think of new hyper/sigil designs, and intent. Anyone else do that? Design magical practice, on work time, because there is shit and damn it else to do?
Maybe if I was a different kind of person, I'd have Nerf fights, or read the weekly paper.
"An intersection of the glyph, the time of the glyph’s making, the energy behind the glyph, and the intent in which the glyph was formed. . . From the threads of these four energies a knot is tied on the altar of the mage’s consciousness. This 5th energy, this secret knot now tied, is the true sigil." - Edward Wilson & Wes Unruh
Which is a really pretentious way of stating that when you Pay Attention, and Build Something around that attention with Intention, and Put That Thing Into The World, then you can make things happen.
Magic.
Amanda Palmer would be an Awesome friend to have.
