Shadows: Are we Half-Sick of them?
Sep. 18th, 2008 10:18 pmToday seemed pretty malleable. The Sirius radio at work seemed to be listening to us, directly. We weould mention a thing, song or album, and within two songs, that thing would play. Either the exact song, or something from the album mentioned. And we were talking about a Range of things. String Quartet tributes and Bluegrass covers.
I counted money, in slow times, and people seemed to tip more heavily. Which is nice.
Because it's possible to win the lottery without even playing it.
I have half-formed thoughts in my head, about evil and good, shadows and whole darkness. Things like that. There's been a lot of sex-talk, this week. Does that feel a little clichéd to you? Lust and inhibitions, and all that?
What about violence and wrath? Pride and vanity? What about a general sensuality, a drive to do more, to take and to Have?
Yeah. What about those?
Time for dinner.

What happened to general fuckery, warping, mayhem and sticking our noses where they don't belong? What happened to (being) the Other? There're a lot of things missing lately. IMO, we've gotten soft and stale.
