Clarification of Nudity
Sep. 15th, 2008 10:32 amIn response to one of yesterday's posts,
photogirl630 asked the following: "why with the naked? is it because peoples bits are funny looking dangleing about?"
And my response is this:
'I like nudity.
'On a sociological level, I guess the nudity of friends could be indicative of mutual vulnerability and equal respect, of appreciation for form and attributes of those people within a group.
'Freud would say that I'd likely been sexualised at too early an age, possibly due to the influences of media-situations, and a growing over-all sexualisation of culture, during my formative years.
'Couple those with things like finding hidden pornography, and squiggle porn on the TV, and a stronger urge toward the reveal, the intimate moment, on a wider scale, in a trusted group, becomes almost inevitable.
'But mostly? I think my friends are attractive, and I might like to see them naked. I ask those I about whom I'm not sure, and don't ask those who I know I don't need to ask, either because I know the answer is yes, or I know it's no. :)'
But, that being said, I'll put this out there: I have a habit of saying that one of the reasons I don't go to strip clubs is that I don't feel I need to pay to see attractive people naked; if I want that, I have any number of people who'd do that for me, for free, at home. But is that strictly true?
Would you comme to my house or that of Any of your friends and be naked, if asked?
Replies are screened, because I've found that people are more willing to open up, in general, if they feel they can control the methods and amount of revelation by which they do so.
