of course the first viable electric car since GM pulled their own model to make way for the hummer costs 109,000 $. Come back to me when its in my price range.

The more people talk about the fact that there is a mass-market electric car, creating industry buzz, and actually Looks Good, the more in-demand they'll become. Costs will come down to a reasonable level.

But we have to let people know, first.

yeah, except there's this: http://www.zapworld.com/electric-vehicles/electric-cars/zap-alias

and this:
http://www.chevrolet.com/electriccar/

both look good to me and cost less than 109,000. just saying, you're paying mark up to be able to say 'I drive a Tesla'

Both good. Talk about them, instead.

If it weren't so damned expensive in and of itself it would be much more useful and talked about in the middle class circles. As is, it's cheaper to keep paying for gas than to buy this car . . .

Initial Push is always going to cost more, until the cost to produce and demand even out. These things take a bit of time.

The Tesla Roadster is the electric equivalent of a Ferrari; not necessarily for Everyone, but another Sign to show that there IS Demand.
