Make me a device which I can hook to my television, rip all of my DVDs to, and then hit random, for an assortment, or make play-lists.

Searchable, uploadable, far easier interface than the process on either a Mac or a PC.

It would be like a perfect combination of TiVos and iPods.

I'm saying that I and many other people would pay money for this.

I command it!

Now this will happen and I'll get no money because I didn't patent it, because I don't have the technical expertise to do anything about it.

You can do that with a mildly hacked xbox360, strangely enough.

I'm amazed by how much the 360 has become my entertainment hub of choice.
