I saw a fox, in the creek bed past my back yard, the other day.

I keep meaning to tell you that.

What do you want, right now, more than anything?

Pretend the hour's getting late.

the ability to sleep and stay up doing fun things at the same time. If only playing EQ2 or sewing a new diaper, or chatting on AIM or reading a book were as refreshing and relaxing as sleeping.

oh and we have a bunny living next door. and a doe and her fawn have tromped through our backyard a few times. Supposedly there's a coyote around too but I haven't seen him.

I want a parking place.
I want my laundry done.
I want a better job.
But what I want- more than anything- is him here with me in my city. The place I love. To see me glow and decide that this is still the magical place it was for us before and to stay here in the magic with me.

I hope you get all of those.

That's always helpful, if and when it can happen.

Financial security, without stress. I don't want to be filthy rich, just have enough not to have to worry, ever again. The rest, I can handle from there.

Yeah. I know what you mean.

What do you want, right now, more than anything?

This is a Hard Question. First I:d say that I don:t want to have to worry about what job I:ll do when I get home, that I want a job waiting for me. But that:s not the ultimate goal. The ultimate goal in finding a job is financial security to live where I want, eat what I want, buy what I want, and still pay all of my bills. If I could do this without working, I might turn working into a hobby more than a necessity. I use to say that I would still work, even if I won the lottery, but now, I:m not so sure that would be true. There:s a lot of bullshit involved with work, other people, red tape, law suits, that I think I would much rather do without. So, then I:d say financial security to live where I want, eat what I want, buy what I want, and still pay all of my bills. But even then, that:s not the root of the problem. What all of those things are are things that make me happy. And even if I had all of those things, I might be unhappy. So what I really want is to be happy, without sacrificing my mental cognitive functions (IE: I don:t just wanna ba a happy idiot who is happy when the lights turn on). Is that a good answer?

They're all good answers.

In a completely unrelated note, do you actually know ben templesmith? His name sounds so familiar, even though I know he's just an artist that I haven't met. But he sounds like one of those guys from high school, like Emily Adair, or Sam Tydel who were widely known in the high school community by both names, although you might not know them well.

Never met him in person, yet, as he just moved to the states from Australia.

But you're right. He does sound like that kind of guy :)

A raise. I don't want a new job that pays more. I want this same job, only for the money that I feel I "deserve" for doing it. *sigh*

Is it sad that this is the main thing I want? There are other things, but mostly, if I wanted them badly enough I would work to attain them. This is the one thing that I really want and can't entirely control.

It seems fair that that's what you'd want. I can understand that, very much.

I want my new place that I'm moving into this week to really feel like my home--like it's got my style, not someone else's (which has been the case everywhere else I've lived since I've always had roommates previously), and like it's really somewhere I can retreat to in order to relax, or that I can open up to have guests, since I love to entertain. A sacred and a social space all at once.

And I really want my family here! Which is going to be happening in a week (my parents) or two (my sister) anyway, but I'm having trouble with the whole patience thing.

I think that it will, if plan it, design it as such, and make everything resonate with you. A little time, and a little work should do it just fine.

Me and [livejournal.com profile] mech_angel were just having a conversation about patience, yesterday.

So many things can come, with patience, knowing which just tends to make us want them more. :\ Paradox.

I'd like to meet an imaginary friend of mine in the flesh. A specific one, mind you, not just any of them. And I believe it will happen in my lifetime -- it's just that I, like Prose, have trouble with the being patient.

Alternately, I want not to want.

Non-paradoxical age-free time travel. Or maybe time compression. However it is, get everything done, be able to visit every party, and (as above) sleep and play EQ2.

I want out of debt.
I want to take off with my games.

... luckily, these last three I can do, if I can figure out how.

That gets into one of the fun conversations I had with [livejournal.com profile] karishi about magic and intention... can you do something if you don't know how, and/or you don't even know it's possible? Do you claim that infants can walk, or that Amazon aboriginals can beat GTA4? (Insert previous discussion about replacing the Argo, you bastard whether a person is the same person or not here.)

I have a hard time with the 'you get what you want' modality because it's easy to fall into the mold of blaming the victim. I guess it helps to teach, since most people can't do it before they know how. So the self-destructive thoughts are a disease, of sorts.

Yes, that. I want to know how.
