wolven7CruxShadows - [Spectators]--- So, this weekend, in case anyone was wondering where the hell i had gone, i was at a wedding. It was a good wedding, and i got to see a bunch of people i hadn't seen in a long time. I had a great time. While i was there, i had a really odd dream, involving killing people, and travelling through a Labyrinth, in order to get through these places with frog-fish people. It was odd. (CruxShadows - [Tears]). So, the wedding was gorgeous, and the mountains were wonderful, and i met some neat new people, some of whom i, interestingly enough, ended up seeing again, later in the weekend. Now... About the rest of the weekend.
After the wedding, i came home. I was here, for a short period of time, and then i went elsewhere. While i was here, i talked to my mother, and debated with her the efficacy of spending $50 on a convention, when i could be buying food. At this point, Rob says that i can have his four day pass to DragonCon. (CruxShaodows - [Go Away]). And DragonCon was AMAZING. i went on Sunday night, and got home, yesterday afternoon. From Sunday Morning, to when i got home, i had about 30 minutes of sleep, spaced out, across the days. And boy am i ever glad i didn't leave when i had wanted to...
As i arrive at the con, i run into Duby, Jyn's boyfriend. At this point, i start helping with the fabled D*Con Scavenger Hunt. On this hunt is everything from the Holy Grail, To Traci Lords, to a "Copy of Red Hat Linux." So we got the Copy of Red Hat, by going down the Electronic Frontiers Forum, having them download us a picture of a RedHat Linux box, and then printing it out. (CruxShadows - [The 4th Phase]). As we're turning things in, i run into the girl i met at the wedding, and Merrill. They weren't together, these were simply the people i saw. Merrill was actually upstairs, in the DigiTribe room, passed out on the bed. She said some things to me, that amounted to hello, but later told me that she didn't remember them. Duby and i go back downstairs, and there's Jyn, Jeremy, and both Zachs. I stop with the Scavenger Hunt, as does Duby.
I hang out with Little Zach (AKA Sparky) and Jeremy, for a while, and i run into a bunch more people. Troy, Kim, Sam & Misty, Jon, and Ness. We found Ness, aftyer looking for her for about 20 minutes. We only found her, when we gave up. Chaos Theory wins again. Now here's where the cool parts start. As i'm walking into the ballroom level, my legs go all weak and quavery. (CruxShadows - [Earthfall]). I can't figure out why, until, 5 minutes later, someone says to me "Hey, there's Jhonen." Jhonen Vasquez has been about 15 feet away from me, for five minutes, hanging out with a band, and generally trying to hide from everything. So what do i do? I go over, and i say "Hey, Jhonen?" "Hmm? Oh, hey." "Can i beg a favour off of you?" At which point i hand him a bank of america reciept. Someone near him asks "Is that a Texaco reciept?" and i said "No, Bank of America." Jhonens says "To Bank of America, then." We all chucckle. I leave. I go sit down.
CruxShadows - [Orphean Wing]--- After this, i keep getting this feeling, every time i think about the fact that i'm going to the CruxShadows concert. I say, to a bunch of people, "Something really cool's about to happen... Something weird, and off, but really cool." At this point in the evening, Emerald Rose was on stage, and running a bit late. Some people were a bit upset. As i go into the ballroom, who do i see, but Big Jay, and Abby? So that was cool. As an aside, i got to meet Big Jay's dad, yesterday, too. Anyway. The CruxShadows concert starts. It Was AMAZING. There are words to describe, but you probably don't remember the Language they're in.... Some, in english, are personally affecting, revelatory, gorgeous, wonderful....
CruxShadows - [Carnival]--- At the end of the show, after the fourth Encore, we're walking in pace with Rogue, the lead singer, and we tell him to Run, while he still can. He says thanks, smiles, and does. After this, it's about 4 am, and there's not much to do. (CruxShadows - [Resist/R]). So we go about, looking for a party, and we run into Effie, again, and into Merril. They don't know of any parties. So we wander around, for a little while, until around 5, or som, when we find a bunch of peole, sitting in the hall wy of the 15th floor of the Hyatt Regency, drinking hunch punch, and smoking. We sit for a while, have some coversation, and then, leave. Sparky, having picked up the wrong room key, proceeds to pass out in the elevator lobby, on th 7th floor. At this point, my brain is still going full tilt, and my body is dead tired, so i have to go find something to do. i go back down to the CruxShadows table, and talk to Chris, the Drummer/keyboardist. Then i find Jon, again. We wader around, and then i pass out for 20 minutes in the elevator lobby, 7th floor. Then Jon goes to find a room, and i go to find more to do.
While i was hanging with Jon, in the Lift lobby, (CruxShadows - [Roman]). i called Rob, a few times, because i really wanted to go Home. i was bored, and cranky, and tired. But he didn't answer. Good thing, too. So i went BACK down to the CruxShadows table, and sat with this girl, Becky, and listened to the music, coming from the stereo. At one point she gets up and starts looking for paper, on the floor, and i say "Would you like some paper?" She say "Yes, please. That would be very nice." (CruxShadows - [Spiral (Don't Fall)]). So hand her my "I Am A God" notebook. She pulls out some paper, and stis down to write. She writes a letter. Then she leaves. At this point, there's someone new at the table, and i'm bored, so i go over to her. It's Rachel, one of the Dancers, from the band. This is at 8. i didn't Leave that table, until around 4. She had left, about 20 minutes earlier, to go on her breaks, with Jess, the other dancer. They went shopping. :) As for the ret of the time at the table, it was spent with Rachel, the violinist, and keyboardist, Stacey, the Guitarist, and Chad, the light technician.
CruxShadows - [Before The Fire]--- So now i go with Jeremy, to go call Rob, and then go drop Jeremy off, then get food, then go home. (CruxShadows - [Return (Coming Home)]). When i got home, it was 5 something. I passed out, and woke up, 14 hours later, at 7.45. there were a few phone calls, and some door knockings, in there, but none of them truly roused me from other-consciousness. I had some fun dreams, last night, and i'd tell you about them, but i need to go check my inbox. i shudder to think. As it stands, i got autographs from all of the band, the two dancers, and the light tech. And i'm probably going to go see them, again, on friday. It was a LOT of fun, and now i need to go get ready for classes.
