Fuck. If you Google search for my thesis it returns a link using the title of the second chapter, which VASTLY miscasts the paper's position. And yeah, I'm a little upset about it. I worked my ass off to push through "A Description of the Natural Place of Magic in Philosophy and Religious Studies," so using the title "Opposition to the Idea of Magic as a Natural Phenomenon" really kind of flies right in the face of that effort.

On the other hand, my thesis IS the first thing returned when you use the search string '"damien williams" "a description".' So... *shrug* At least they spelled my name right, eh?

Fuck yeah, they did.

Actually... the first thing that comes up now is this particular LJ entry.

Although! The second thing is your thesis and if anyone reads the description beneath the PDF title, it at least says the actual title...
"A DESCRIPTION OF THE NATURAL PLACE OF MAGIC IN PHILOSOPHY AND. RELIGIOUS STUDIES. by. DAMIEN WILLIAMS. A Thesis Submitted in Partial Fulfillment of the ..."

So that's something?

Yeah, it is indeed. I just worry that people are going to get the wrong idea, which would be half a good thing, and half a bad thing.

I don't want people who might be interested to think that I'm against what they're looking for. But some people who're looking for something else, might find my paper, and have their view expanded upon...

Double edged sword, really.

How are you?

That really is a double edged sword.

How am I? Overall pretty good. I'm remodeling my room, which is fun, but also results in massive allergy attacks, since I'm allergic to dust. (There isn't enough antihistamine in the world for me when that much dust is around.)

Though, aside from that, occasionally in very irritating pain (see: most recent journal entry), what with the EKG sensors eating my skin and leaving itchy, stinging, burning, welting, angry red marks in its place. But it turns out that the topical pain reliever in my antibiotic cream stuff (for cuts that you put bandages on) really helps minimize the pain.

I hope you get better, soon, so you can get rid of that thing. :\

And good luck remodeling. Try some of the paper masks, if you haven't, already.
