How to Write, Speak, and Think More Effectively, Rudolf Flesch
Managereal Communications, Mary Munther
The An Introduction To... series, Kramer
Ten-Minute Manager/ Salesperson series.
My dad suggested thinking about business as Evangelism, and vice versa. The sense that there is a communcation, and a need to be filled, and that onne must recognise when one isn't ready to hear something, and to help them become ready to hear it, to have that need filled. I think there is a need, and I think that many people recognise it. I need to be able to show people the benefits in my means.
Snake oil salesman, getting all the snakes to realise what they are.
I need to:
-- Call/Visit Sally, to talk about doing a philosophy or religious studies class, or classes
-- Read up on the fundamentals of consulting and thinking-tanking; try to get a feel for how to make this a business.
-- Try to understand if the business connections I have and the friend connections I have are one and the same. A sad suspicion: They Are Not, Necessarily.
-- Try to figure out how many people are actually interested, how many people want to hear the kinds of things I want them to hear.
A lot of things, really...
Anyway. There it is.
