Dear Internet
Mar. 8th, 2008 10:59 pmIt's half Whisky (preferably Southern Comfort, but JD'll do) and half Red Bull.
It's called a "Warren Ellis," and it is surprisingly drinkable, but feels like it might sneak up behind you, and hit you in the back of the head with a chair.
We hypotheticalled it, first, but then Bob went ahead and made it. It goes Red Bull, Whisky, Red Bull, then a not-entirely-unpleasant chalky aftertaste, not unlike Smartees.
Drink it, drink it and enjoy.

I like the idea of a drink named for Warren but alas...

Date: 2008-03-09 10:21 pm (UTC)"You can hinder your respiration," said Roger A. Clemens, of the University of Southern California's School of Pharmacy. "From a public health perspective, you should not mix stimulants with alcohol."
"When you combine those two together, you always have a risk," he said. According to Clemens, some major concerns with mixing these two drinks include, but are not limited to, cardiovascular risk, impaired judgment, shortness of breath, dizziness, disorientation and rapid heart beat.
