Science. Don't talk to me for five hours about what you "know. Full stop." and then do a condescending head-bow the the fact that science is probibalistic, and that we never know anything. Don't you fucking do it. There always exists a chance that you Are Wrong. Quantum mechanical forces have an odd way odf doing things you generally don't fucking expect them to do, and that goes double for when consciouness is focused on them:

Read it. Read the whole fucking thing. Then ask yourself what happened.
This is a way-too-angry start to my day...

Date: 2008-02-20 04:05 pm (UTC)1) we can never actually know a causal link to be the truth
2) we can never actually know the thing in of itself
3) as such, since we can never know 1 or 2, it becomes very hard to know anything.
4) however, we are beings wired to think about the world in terms of knowing it.
5) without causal links or knowing, the world makes no sense to us on daily basis.
Therefore) its ok to operate as IF we knew causal links or things in of themselves, because if we didnt wed go crazy. But we can never actually know them because we cant. We just have to deal with that knowing and accept it.
