Dissatisfaction with pre-made things

I'm having another one of those points where the magical systems and symbols made by others are inadequate to expressing what I want them to. Where I'm having to make my own, as I go along...

There was a time, about 7 or eight years ago, when I first discovered the wonder of Language, and it was this primal Ur-Thing, with no two phrases the same, because each phrase was the description and expression of a discreet moment in time and place and meaning, which could be interlockced to reference an evevr-evolving now...

But I seem to have lost that...
