'BUG is a collection of easy-to-use electronic modules that snap together to build any gadget you can imagine. Each BUGmodule represents a specific gadget function (ex: a camera, a keyboard, a video output, etc). You decide which functions to include and BUG takes care of the rest letting you try out different combinations quickly and easily.'

Okay, I so want one of those.
I am restraining myself so hard from buying one right now! "Early adopter price" just means "buy it now!" in my mind. I am such a consumer whore.

Yeah, I've been thinking the same thing. With a few basic electronics, you could do even a wider range of things than what they have, there...

All plastic.

Yes. We will be, for a long time. The more sensible thing to do, at this point, is to find a way to unchain the polymers, and re-allocate the raw molecular material to some other use.

Molecular harmonics
Petroleum-devouring bacteria
Micromachines (see Jeremy's Matryoshka story); probably plastic, but part of the solution.
But none of it's immediate enough for me to want to work on any of these.
