I am trying not to get to that Disgruntled, arrogant, "Weird Science" kind of place, because after that come the deathrays and the earthquake machines and the Hell-On-Earth spells, but it's hard when no one in the entrenched academia seems to understand the potential for what you want to do. It's hard not to see them as scared old people, or (ironically) arrogant young people who think they know it all.

And the best way for me to do that is to surround myself with open, honest understanding and communicative people, and work with them.

So whaddaya say, huh kid? Let's do it.

Maybe they DO see the potential of what you want to accomplish, and being scared, entrenched, and arrogant, are doing e/t they can to stop you short of coming right out and saying "No, this is too controversial for our school and field, so you we won't allow it."
