'This is a fairly short [much longer] list of people [than the previous list].

'It's been forever, I know, but I wanted to try to put something together, again, with a plan. The Global Frequency idea (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Frequency for those of you who don't know) has been eating at me, for a little while, now, with the prevalence of people Tracking and talking about "the future," and the things they see being done, in that vein. Technology tracking, fashion, cultural trends, etc. There are any number of people known to all of us with expertise in various of these areas who are, themselves, creating, developing, influencing and/or utilising those changes, and I would like an arena in which to work with those of you so doing.

'I want to be closer to a community of those involved in creating the future, and working with others of similar goals and resources to create it. What I would like from each of you who are interested in something like this is a list of skills, resources, interests, and intentions, not necessarily in that order, in fact, arrange them in order of importance to you.

'I don't have a lot of time to parcel out, right now, and I'm trying to work with some of you, individually, to get things done, but I think that this could make things easier for many of us, in many ways. Resources such as brainstorming capabilities and materials, networking connections, grants knowledge, etc.

'If this isn't your thing, then disregard and on your way. If you'd rather work individually, one on one, then please let me know that as well; but if this is something you want to do, then let's do it.

'Too many Almost-Fitting networking services, and communities, these days, and I'd like to get a handle on something we can make Fit.

'Some of you may see this more than once.'

So there it is. I have a Lot of things on my plate, right now; master's program, projects with [livejournal.com profile] mech_angel, work, trying to find a PhD program, , trying to find a long term Job.

What i'm saying is, I don't think all of these things should Have to be separate things, and could, in fact, be neatly folded together.

I'm going to go, before i ramble, and make this Less Clear.

Hehe, I don't know what my skills are.

I am good at figuring things out, mostly.

I program, mostly in proprietary languages at the moment, but I wouldn't mind projects on the side and can learn whatever, given enough patience and time.

I notice patterns that other people don't notice.

My interests and intentions? I don't know, but this world seems a little broken. People don't want to work or think, or don't know how. It seems like there is way more watching than doing, and very little undertsaning of how things end up the way they do, of cause and effect and the potential to shape one's destiny. I'd like to help fix that somehow, I guess.

(I sound like a pyramid scheme salesman when I say this, but) What I want to offer you is the opportunity to fix things. I want to put you in a place where you can work with people who think similarly to devise plans of action (teaching plans, classes, television shows, public service announcements, ad campaigns, etc.) to make substantive changes in the way people approach the world. Responsibility, reasoning, honest feeling and assessment, engaging in a situation without guilt or regret, because the potential consequences are accepted, beforehand.

The hard part is the leg work of trying to find the right and interested people, or tying to convince those who have the right skills that it's a good plan...

Thank you for responding. I really appreciate it.

I wish there was an *I'm Rolling My Eyes* emoticon. I'd use it on that guy in an Internet E-mail.

I really wish that Internet were still the bastion of awesomeness that it was dreamed to be...

Connectify

I am good at...
dancing
modeling systems (aka games)
some survival stuffs
diplomacy
stepwise operations (helps with programming, don'tcha know)
accuracy
determination (long car drives, mind-numbing tasks)
I'm an INTJ according to one test, which has been described as "Field Marshal". Deal with conquering the immediate problem, very focused.

I would like to be more self-determining as far as what "the immediate problem" is, but as is I usually flow with the whims of the world.

I think we have enough stuff that we could get away with creating a pseudo-Communist world. No need for need, everybody just makes stuff and takes stuff at will. This would be assisted by a super-sized version of Craig's List or FreeShare or somesuch.
There would need to be a massive mental shift in that people don't need to create to have their needs taken care of, other than some work that must be done. There would need to be a balance of individual acceptance of public responsibility (see [livejournal.com profile] cailement's recent moving school post) and simultaneously an individual drive to achievement. The failure of communism lies in the lack of reward; maybe there's another carrot or stick we can find.

There's also the bit in The Matrix about humans being unable to accept a world without struggle, but we can burn that bridge when we get to it. In the meantime, more better stuff.

When there isn't struggle, we find or create it.

Thank you for the list.

I am the ultimate Jack of All Trades, Master of None.

Show me once, stand back, and it might not be pretty, but I bet I'll get it done.

My strengths are adaptability, picking up new skills, absorbing large amounts of information (and retaining them to no further use or issue, but holding on like trivia), creative arts such as writing, painting, drawing, sculpting. I'm a damned good cook and REALLY good at the concepts of organization, but I never ever ever put those ideas into practice, because I'm a lazy bum.

I know basic principles behind things such as minor surgeries, car coolant systems, house-building, fire-building, gardening/landscaping. I know lots about various religions, major and minor.

I'm good at working with computers and damn near anything with moving parts, provided you don't stare at me or try to 'help' me with them. I'm an amazing tinkerer so long as I'm left alone. Stare at me, and I'll break it while you watch.

My weaknesses include politics, psychology, personal insight, and the general inability to understand when I'm being screwed with combined with the general feeling that everyone on the fucking planet is screwing with me on purpose.

Do you think you could put those concepts into practice in the service of something else, something that was not "your" project?

I'm not screwing with you. I need someone with external insight, who can list skills and principles to Other people who may be able to put them into practice, even if that person cannot, themselves.

I can pair you with whomever would need you, at the time, but I would need your organizational skills, to help keep track of people, and keep them where they will be accessible.

You know, but others may not.

I can draw. Sometimes better than photorealism, from reference or life.
I can put together almost anything, given tools and time.
Computers like me. I can often puzzle out a problem with intuition, poking around, and, again, time.
I can explain something well, and in terms damn near anyone can get, once I get it.
I am well-versed in all sorts of Weird Shit(tm) and willing to give almost anything in that arena a shot and a thought.
I can lift, carry, push, and kick ass far more than a five-foot-nothing woman should be able to.
I can make almost any arrangement, interface, or system of organization, make far more sense than it did to begin with, given the means and full rein.
I can look at things from weird directions.
I can often recognize languages even if I don't know them, written or spoken.
I can metalsmith, but it runs from fair to poor depending on what I'm making, and out of what.
I know a fair bit of herbal and preventative natural medicine.
I am pretty good at handling money when I have to be.

I communicate well. I can explain things, persuade people, you name it.
I'm an actress. I can play whatever role I need to play.
I can make friends easily.
I can teach, and usually my enthusiasm is infectious.
Pretty much, I'm a people person, to use an annoying phrase for it.

mr. wolvem most of the people are not complete monkeys, mean we can
dance, make friends easily,
progam
see things from weird angles, dance, sing, whatever, is it what you want to read here?
you want a purpose, you want know why we are doing it, in order to
connect people properly.
So my purpose is "to kill gravity", people around me know that they are capable,
they start fly again, believe in themselves.
I can not to bear a brilliant ideas, but I my element is essential for ideas to see the light.
