The Post-Apocalyptic Workout is something most of you should be reading.

Checklist time:

Basic/Intermediate Tasks.

Advanced/Elite Tasks. Later, I'll probably do a "bold the ones you know, Italicise the ones you're learning" kind of thing, but these are Long Lists.

Read them.

Also Grinding.be is a pretty good tech blog, thus far.

Make Your Now Better, To Prepare for Tomorrow. Because when tomorrow gets here, it'll already be too late.

I'm out.

That rocks!

Scary thing? In our household, we have the knowledge and equipment for all of the basic and intermediate, over half of the advanced and the entire elite list. Including the scary ones like metalworking and welding.

We have reference libraries for most of the more specialized ones, like the hand to hand combat and some not included, like our entire section on wilderness survival and sustainable homesteading. We even have livestock to eat (see cute baby chicken pics.)

We have a bristling pile of weaponry, ranging from bladed to projectile, including at least three bows (two compound and one recurve.) We have kayaks, bicycles, and survival gear for camping and caving. One of us is a caving guide, two of us have veterinary experience, and two of us are experienced brewers. We're seriously eyeballing home biodiesel production in the next few months.

I hadn't thought of it in this context before, but:

I don't have the tools, but I certainly have the skills, for the vast majority of them. Good things to know.

Glad you're liking grinding.be

I'm figuring ways to bring more... interesting sorts of technology into it, soon.

Also, something I've wanted to say for a while: I often take a long time to respond to your posts, but don't think I don't read them. It's just a matter that your posts often have content and honestly, I'm usually just skimming LJ these days. So it takes me a while to get to them.

Awesome. I'm very glad to hear that.I would like to discuss with you, and others, something, in the near future, somewhat related to this. Just.. stick a pin in this one, and we'll come back to it...

Every once in a while, Sci-Fi will just run a whole day's worth of episodes.
