Clear, cool, but nowhere near cold. The moon is shining and bright, the clouds and the contrast of light pollution on blackblue pinpricked with stars...

The initial rush of stories and the combination of words into a grouping of meaning, how something can be heard, and made to mean something completely else.

"Open up your veins and splash the blood
and hit the power lines."

When I was first starting college, I had a habit of tracing the hollows and veins in my forearms. It was never the same, twice, but it held a general pattern and shape. I was thinking about this, recently, because of thinking about Vellum, again. Graving and UnKin, the marking of the soul-name upon the body, shifting and changing as the person grows...

Powerlines.

I love autumn.

[Edit: Also [livejournal.com profile] coilhouse. This indicative of both my problem with present futurists and some attempts at solutions. Worth a look.]

I think this is part of why I've not gotten that work done on my arm(s?) yet. It won't, and can't change, shift. And it's not quite right for it not to be able to.

You should write something for yourself, these few days you have to breathe.

Exactly. Not until the Nanotech RFID ink.

dood...I have new fear of RFID tech. Have you gotten to use any of the public libraries that have self checkout with RFID plates? Or has GSU got that yet?

Now that I have had time to come to terms with it, it's fairly understandable, but at first...picture a comic panel with me, looking like a particularly dissipated Delirium, peeking out in fragments from behind NightFall, who is looking verrrrrrrry patient. My speech bubble says, in teensy letters: "...it can HEAR my BOOKS??"

Oh yes. RFID is pretty scary, and I've not yet seen the counter-measures to make it safe, more secure, less invasive.
