filler bunny: To repeat, "There's just something about that little rabbit that's so cute in its horror. Schadenfreude and a protective urge, together in a strangely perverse dance..."
loreena mckennitt: I love her voice, her ability to capture emotions within her music, so completely. When I heard her do Yeats' "Two Trees," I was completely and irrevocably hooked.
roman dirge: He's an amazing artist, and a hilarious writer. His work on Lenore, Something at the Window is Scratching, The Cat with a Really Big Head and One Other Story that Isn't As Good, all amazing. Back in highschool I used to talk with him online, as we kept similar hours (after conversion from LA to Atlanta), but that's not exactly feasible, anymore. We're not friends, we just talked, occasionally. It was nice.
squee!: Again, the schadenfreude angle. Jhonen Vasquez has severe mental problems, and many of them were displayed over the course of this comic. Also, the two part line:
Squee: Nooo! I don't wanna eat the toasty souls of the Damned!
Pepito: What? I thought we were having Stove Top. I want None of this "Soul Toast."
wolves: They're wolves. Family, loyalty, hunting instinct, care, companionship, understanding. It's everything in a family that I'd hope to achieve. They represent the most clear depiction of Nature, to me, in that they are calm, gentle, loving, nurturing, efficient, ruthless killing machines who don't take shit from anyone. I love that.
jolt cola: This was the first highly caffeinated soda ever put on the market, and you'd be amazed at how many people thought it was made up for the movie Hackers. No, my friends, that was a Product Placement. Tasted terrible, but I was completely buzzed for hours. I could only find it in the Giant Foods stores, in DC, because they stopped carrying it in Safeway, after a while.
england: There is a very little known folk tale that holds that England, Scotland, and Ireland were all created, designed and planned by three raven brothers on a drunken comisserative bender. The oldest created England, then middle created Ireland, and the youngest created Scotland. In light of that story, certain things make a lot more sense.
Let's learn more stuff about each other. It's awesome.
