wolven7: (The Very Devil)

You get one question. Anything you want, any question in the world, and I will do my very level best to answer you as honestly as I am able.

Don't fuck with me today. I've swallowed a good bit of my own blood, over the course of the night, and I'm not in the mood.

One question.

do you plan on procreating biologically or even philosophically?

Date: 2007-08-23 03:02 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wolven.livejournal.com
I will say that I have definite thoughts toward it, for the distant future. Well after I finish my Doctorate and have a stable, decently paying Job.

As for philosophical procreation, I've always wanted to clone myself, age myself, to Now, and then send myself out in the world, on a different track than me. I want to see so many places, anyway, and to start it differently would be as simple as choosing a direction and flipping a coin or rolling a die to see who goes where.

In a year's time we'd meet, up, exchange stories over coffee and lunch and start out all over again. I think that would be awesome.

why were you swallowing blood during the night, subquestion, are you a vampire?

Wisdom tooth crowned, last night. Mouthful of blood to a slow trickle, all night.

Subanswer: No. Not in that sense.

is it possible to ever trust a compulsive liar?

From: [identity profile] wolven.livejournal.com
If you know what activates the compulsion, then yes. And you can always count on them to lie or not lie.

how do you feel about me?

From: [identity profile] wolven.livejournal.com
I think you worry a bit too much about things you can't control, and that you should try to breathe and let go, more.

I think you'll be a lot happier, if you do that.

How long has it been since you've had one of those Flintstones push-pops?

Jeezus... I think I had the only one of those I ever had, when I was 11 or twelve. So, I'd say about 13 years. Heh.

When was the last time you thought of me when I wasn't around?

Last week

From: [identity profile] wolven.livejournal.com
It was sometime last week. Thinking about how you were doing, in terms of living in Taxassachusetts, hoping everything was going well for you.

I was thinking about this in terms of the potential for moving, soon, myself. PhD work, and all.

What do you do?

When you feel that you've lost your way? When You have an idea where your going but the path beneith you drops? How do you find your way back?

I can only use myself as an orientation point, then. I dissect who I am, and what i mean, independent of all the external bullshit, and everything else. Use yourself as ground, and then jump from there.

What are your larger goals? They've gotten slightly lost in the morass of bureaucracy that has been your thesis.

They're the same as they have been: Opening larger realms of experience to people and having at least Some of them walk through them.

What is it that keeps you reading my journal?

And feel free to ask me one in return.

I like stories. I like knowing that you're putting thought and effort into the words that you put on the page, and that you enjoy what you do.

I'll be thinking of questions, today, and I'll ask you one.

So, how are you doing? Please feel free to elaborate.

Right now, I'm doing pretty well. I've got my thesis paperwork in order, and I've got money coming in. I'm pretty happy, in the departments, and I've got plans for a rather complex magical working, at Dragon*Con.

I'm trying to not get overly confident, and just enjoy it, and plan for the possibility that it may become other than it is, currently.

Thank you for asking.

When was the last time you followed your heart, and not your head?

Every day I work on my thesis. My heart's what's in it, and my head's what makes it work.

)... or snugglebunnies, if it works out that way... not that I'm being greedy...)

It's been over a year. I kind of expected a key to show up by now.

Expected? Well, no. Put the key with the other things, in your mind, and figure out how they work, together. Until then (and after then) don't expect anything.
