1. In Revenge of the Sith, Obi Wan Kenobi arguably demosntarted that he is partially responsible for the dominance of the Empire by not executing Anakin Skywalker as he lay burning to death.
Does this act also demonstrate Obi Wan's ruthless streak for leaving an opponent in agony as opposed to putting him out of his misery or his lack of the killer instinct needed to win wars by granting a twisted mercy to a friend?
I think the complexity of the situation allows for elements of both. He was obviously hurt and betrayed by his student, the man-child for whom he sacrificed so much, who then turned his back on everything he cared about (and in a fairly punk ass way, if I might editorialize). So that betrayal could obviously be seen as driving Obi Wan to let him suffer. On the other hand, we have the inability for Obi Wan to ever do what is truly necessary to avert the disasters which he Knows are coming, thus making him incapable of decapitating the little bitch like he should have. i lean more toward the first, because it makes him more of a dick, and, as we see in A New Hope, he Is kind of a dick.
Oh yeah, and I never saw Revenge of the Sith.
2. Where does marriage fit into your life plan?
Somewhere.
3. Assuming you have children, how would you characterize God if they asked you?
God is infinite. Expressions of God are not infinite, insofar as they are limited, artificially, by artificially limited people. Perspective is necessary for action. Choose a perspective, wisely. When they understand that, then I'll present them with as many different understandings of "God[s]" as i can find, and we'll go from there.
4. Bruce Springsteen is tempted by neither silver, gold, nor apples from the Tree of Knowledge. What is he tempted by?
Her Pink Cadillac.
5. What are a few cartoons or TV shows you miss?
Of Recent memory? Dexter's Lab, Power Puff Girls, Zim, Justice League Unlimited. In general, Captain Power, Beast Machines, Batman Beyond, Batman: The Animated Series. This new "The Batman" crap has got to Go. Completely missed the point of the Bane story line. As did Joel "I-Make-One-Good-Movie-For-Every-Five-Shitty-Ones" Schumacher's second Batman-related theatrical abortion.
