I met Scott Free, Mister Miracle, at a superhero convention, and I told him that I thought he was one of the most under appreciated heroes in comics. Here is why that's important. While I was meeting him,
mech_angel was meeting the muse of the art for the Lucifer series and, as I walked up, they were discussing my name. He was pleased to meet me. (something, here, I think, about people I usually see at conventions still being together, even though they'd much rather it were otherwise, at the moment; red hair, goggles; no names, that's kind of intrusive... Oh who am I Kidding.

I'm wandering through a mall that somehow is France, looking for a place to get my hairs cut. The French are being snobby to me because I don't speak French, and because they don't know how to cut my hair. I go to the customs desk, at the mall, to ask questions, and I can understand their French, but I can't speak it, and so I respond in German. We communicate, and I describe the Plane ride, and the beauty of seeing Everything, in the ocean. Very pretty.
There is the ability to walk between Mirror Cities. You don't get to know it, you don't understand it, but you will walk through a door in, say, Seattle, and then end walking out in St Louis. Everything will look exactly the same, but just slightly different. The people will not be the people you know, but might as well be their twins and clones. The events taking place, there, will shatter-mirror refract the images in your home town, signs, elections, radio stations will all be the same, but not. Some people know about these things. George is helplessly being thrown between mirror-cities, and she is hunting and being hunted by a serial killer. Two competing killers, in two mirror cities, and all three (or four, we never find out if George has a mirror-twin) of them fall in love. Each with the other, in a slightly different way. At the end of one Jump, George is in Seattle, with the original killer, and they've released the souls of and killed several people. They sleep together, and George wakes up in bed, in St Louis, with his rival. She is shocked and amazed, and the second one claims a victory, over the first. Do you understand?
That's what I'm talking about.
Good morning.
[P.S. Two seconds later: I use the icon of the Doulas House, with the House of Leaves reference, as it stands, because I was never lost, in that place. It was the first place, here, that really felt like Home. Everything else was distinct, but interchangeable.
And that's a bit of my psyche, for today.

1- pretend that I am better wording a question about magic. it's not something that I have really explored, but you have and I am always interested in things that other people are passionate about.
Because there has always seemed, to me, to be more to the workings of cause and effect than science and mere logic can explain. There are other ways of influencing and expressing the world, and I'm very interested in understanding what they all are.
2- how do you remember your dreams so well?
Ever since I was a kid, I've remembered my dreams, very well. When i lose pieces of them, I go into what I can remember, and search around for the smallest detail I can find. That generally opens up chunks and vistas. In the act of writing them down, or talking them out, i'll generally remember bits that I forgot. If nothing else, I'll remember the emotional content. But that's harder to express.
3- what is your favourite form of intoxication?
Jägermeister, ice cold, whisky, rocks, or good old fashioned Cthulade. Deliciousness.
4- how the hell do so many of the people I know end up knowing you as well?
Well, i think that rests on two factors: 1) Atlanta is the biggest small town in the world, everyone eventually knows everything else. But that's not enough to account for the kinds of interweavings that I tend to see. So, 2) Some people are like black holes of connections and communication, and those people tend to find others like themselves.
5- if you could take off for the summer (aka my excursions to summercamp theatre) where would you go?
I would like the money time and means to go to DC, and relearn the city, show
mech_angel around, and generally relax.
