Quantum Universality
Jul. 6th, 2007 03:56 pmTool - [Stinkfist]--- A Universe unobserved is not, in fact, a universe.
It can't be. Observation and classification, in the very essence of the act, determines a thing as "a universe." Trees in forests, etc, are not trees without someone to name them trees. (Tool - [Eulogy]). They are whatever they are, but "tree" is, at base, an arbitrary designation.
Observation determines form and function, classification then standardises designation. That thing, and all things like it, are, generally, "Trees." When we impose that form, we dictate universal meaning.
Tool - [H.]--- Naming and identity. No matter how you deal with this, if there is a "beginning" then it must be of the observer observing itself.
Tool - [Useful Idiot]--- I'm going home.
Talk amongst yourselves.
