Feh. Almost wasted day.

Ate dinner with Julettia and Puddy, watched Crash. Pretty good movie. A little schmaltzy at some points, but good. Other than that, read Lucifer all day, and got no work done.

*sigh*

Ah well. Cereal time.

Yeah, definitely the kind of movie more people should feel like they can make, without fear of reprisal. Maybe some offering more solutions, because just pointing out that people suck isn't always enough...

I still don't know how I felt about that movie, other than uncomfortable and saddened. I regret asking if it would get to more than 'people suck', and you kind of know why. I've seen far more of that bullshit than I would like to have. It's so often assumed that I haven't because I'm white. Which just feeds more into the bullshit.

Will they see better when it all gets pulled down around their eyes?

Although it made something in The Satanic Verses make more sense. One of the characters' last names is Farishta. What the Persian guy called the little girl. 'angel'. This character turns into one.

The more I think about it, the more I think the full point wasn't just that people suck, but rather: "Stop Sucking." Or maybe that's me reading in to things...
