So. Check deposited in the ATM, Thursday Night, just after 8pm. If not posted by that night, then the next, right? 'S what it says on the tin. In the mean time, they, the bank, are generous enough to credit me $100, US, for the sake of my monetary assuagement. Bully for them.

Except no.

Because they didn't get a response from the branch wherein I deposited my much needed check, as of last night at Midnight, not only are my Full Thousands of Dollars not where they're supposed to be (the the statement says they are; I just can't actually touch them), but they removed the $100 advance and placed a Full Hold on the money. So. The money I spent on food, and small fun things for me? That money that I spent, in good faith? Now I'm overdrawn, $68 and fifty something cents. Ain't. Life. Grand.

I was told that, should I accrue any overdraft fees, I can talk to a representative, and my account will be credited the improperly debited amount. In the mean time, however, my money won't fully hit until Tuesday Morning.

Lesson: Either get to the ATM before 8pm, or just go to the fucking teller. That's my lesson. Not necessarily yours.

I'm going to go watch the DVDs that caused me to overdraw my account, eat some of the food that caused me to overdraw my account, and drink a soda. Later, I will have one of the beers that caused me to overdraw my account. Why? Because it's not their fault. Why should they suffer?

Ta.

Personally, I like the whole face to face transaction. That way if something fucks up I can go back and point and say, "but I saw her and she said that" and weeee. It also makes it not with the faceless non-connection to people that everyone seems so facinated with lately.

On other notes, thank you for your wishes and sorry you couldn't come, but I understand and will try to stop by soon.

First problem I've ever had with it, and it was a large one. They may not all turn out that way, if I time it better, but still: Hassle.
