Well. That's a pleasant Surprise.
Jun. 21st, 2007 05:21 pmToday I would like to talk to you about how recieving bad news can make for a good day.
I went to financial aid office, this afternoon, to ask them when the fuck I would be seeing my money. They told me that it would be shipped out, tomorrow, fully eleven days after the money first became available to me, through the loan people, for application to outstanding fees. Understandably pissed off, I head to the MARTA station, whereupon I am almost hit by a car running the red light. I don't mean they kind of missed it, I mean the light had dbeen red for a full two-three seconds, when they came barreling through it. Count that off. That shit's a long time.
Anyway, on the way home there are the requisite fuckeries on the road, with people being suprermely stupid, in their driving, etc. I make it home unscathed, and check the mail. My loan check is in my mailbox.
So by "Mailed out Tomorrow," they obviously meant "mailed out some point this week, and none of us know what the rest of us are doing." Which, you know, is fine by me, at the moment, because I got my fucking money.
*sigh* Loans.
But hey: Food.
[5.57pm: Also, my books showed up, today.
raoin had them, and she was taking a nap.]
