Ace of Cups, Judgement (called "Rejuvenation"), and a card titled "In Fact," numbered 33, after a voice-over Borges-style description of The Goddess, by which the speaker meant Eris; chaos, Luck. Calling her implacable, saying that as the world turned, so much rested in her shadow. A deep conviction on the part of the hearer (who I think was
mech_angel) that this description is Bullshit, no matter who was being described.
Something about and old wereworlf, fighting his way through dimensions, to warn people about things...
The first two cards had the same imagery: a woman standing with her left arm raised above her head, and her right hand refilling a cup. In the Ace the cup was primary, and the woman in the background. In Rejuvenation, they are of standard relational size. In the background of all the cards there is a tower, with someone on top (I think it was the magician), with letters and numbers floating around his/her head. The inter-relation of the letters and numbers tell you what number the card is. The foreground characters and scenes simply float in the space in front of the tower, not resting on any ground.
Something, at the very last, about Sophie Bangs and Barbara Shelly, from Promethea, traveling through dimensions, to find the old man, with Sophie offering Barbara the blade of The Sword, to hold as they travel, and Barbara accepting it, without question, saying "what else am I gonna do, stay here with the dog?" At which point you see, "looking" at the portal, a blind man and his blind seeing eye dog. The latter two are somehow connected to the ancient werewolf soldier. they turn and leave, as the portal closes.
Other scenes: A snatch of imagery from Julie and Corey's wedding.
Feelings like my mother teaching me things, about the Bible, when I was little.
People yelling at me for going to a party on a Sunday night, violating the Sabbath. I held in my judgment long enough to say, simply, "I'm not that drunk, I didn't drive, It was around the corner." This hotel had spaces, inside and out, and one flowed into the other, without much by way of transition. I had just gotten done defending certain people, and breaking others; a group of catty gay goth boys was describing people, in a complicated system that invovled, in order, a Piece of Video (markded as "V"), a number (marked as "2"), another V, 2, and then improvisation, at the end, giving you a final string like V2V2end/ac.
So, after having been in their presence, hearing this bullshit, and knowing the people about whom they were talking, I began to get more and more disgusted with them. Standing up, I knocked over the bowl of snack onto the floor behind the bar; that was my first Video. I said "Oh look, some fucking random number." Number. And then I turned to the leader of the catty boys and said, "Oh my god! Your face! It's So. Fucking. Ugly!" By which I didn't mean any physical face. Everyone got quite, at which point I picked up my pallet of water, and started to leave, but turned and began offering it to people. It was Nestlé water. The leader, cowed, simply said "Uhg, you drink that?" and the boy next to him said "It's good." I offered it around, but no one took it, so I left.
As I was walkig down the hallway, toward
ladymerrydeath, I hear them starting, again, in the other room, but their insults are just the things they are, now: Descriptions of descriptions ("Video, Number, &c."). I walk up to
ladymerrydeath and I give her, a hug and a kiss on the cheek, and then I go upstairs and around to corner, fo my apartment/hotel room. The confronation with my grandfather's wife, wherein I didn't tell her that Sabbath meant seven, and, instean, noted, "It's not Sunday, anymore," and closed the door.
Something about MC Chris' clothes, covered in pollen and urine, in my shower, and that if I could but get them clean, I'd be able to raise him from the dead. The story of the guys who shot him, playing through my memory...
Scenes of meeting people at shopping centres, near the apartment/hotel, talking about the way of things; doors to ice cream shops taking people to other dimensions, without their realising it. Late afternoon sunlight on glass doors. Dennis, Chris, Adam, and some new kid, astonished at my being there, for some reason.
The apartments had openings through the first floor, and stairs down the back, at which point, you could see up to the backs of all of the apartments...
That's all I can remember. There was no order to it. All of the parts happened at roughly the same time, and they folded and melded into one another, rather smoothly. As far as things happened in sequence, I put it down, but some portions happened backwards during and before other portions. So. Yeah.
Head hurts. Very little sleep.

Date: 2007-06-18 03:42 pm (UTC)My high school friends and I have a running gag about Nestlé water, due to one day at lunch everyone individually noticing and stating that Nestlé makes water. It was said two or three times; each time, the person who said it hadn't heard the previous conversation about it. But we all said it the same way, "Nestlé makes water?!"
The last person who said it was the funniest, because he'd been playing with the bottle the whole lunch period. Then he stopped. Looked at it. And goes, "Whoa. Guys. Nestlé makes water!" At which point, we all laughed at him.
Then I tried it, and said, "Uhk... guys. Nestlé makes BAD water." And we all agreed that it was terrible. But because of the story, every time someone mentions Nestlé Water, we all have to chime in a chorus of, "Nestlé makes water?!"
Which, of course, was going to be my comment, alone. Except it wouldn't have made as much sense, unless I've told you the story already.
