Dreamed of some kind of Father/Son golf tournament, at which a friend from elementary school, Sam Means, had done really well. Meetings and varying levels of recognition and rememberance. . .

From [livejournal.com profile] wacko1138: 'HONG KONG (Reuters) - Cockroaches have a memory and can be taught to salivate in response to neutral stimuli in the way that Pavlov's dogs would do when the famed Russian doctor rang his bell, Japanese researchers found.'

... So, I can teach them to stay the fuck out of my house, is what you're saying?

Exercise time.

Actually, yes, but there is a problem. Unfortunately the cockroach generation is such that every other week you would have to reteach a new generation.

Not if the first thing I teach them is how to teach each other.

I see this leading to a whole cockroach army...

Also, does anyone else find the phrase, "when the famed Russian doctor rang his bell" as funny as I do? Come on, "rang his bell"? :P

It's like a line from a musical about Pavlov's life...

You should totally write that.

Haha... On the note of musicals, I was just thinking:

Welcome to Pavlov's apartment~ It's our apartment tooooo~

Also, you may find this interesting, my friend's son, who is about 2 now, is waking up in the middle of the night because he says that his room is growling at him and not letting him turn on the light. That's scary even to me.

That is pretty interesting. Is it saying anything in the growling, or is it simply a forbidding kind of thing?

I don't actually know. The way she said it was that the room growls at him and won't let him turn on the light.

Also, his stuffed crocodile talks in the night and wakes him up, and it's "really annoying."

It's weird.

Hm. Very interesting, indeed.

Yeah, I know. If they're going to stick around, they might as well be fucking useful, right?

And just think of what you could do with all of that cockroach drool.
