Well that was utterly pleasant.
Jun. 2nd, 2007 01:27 amAudioslave - [Yesterday to Tomorrow]---
mech_angel and I went out to a late dinner, with
greygirlbeast,
humglum, and their friend Byron. All utterly engaging company, and wonderful conversationalists. Music talk, con stories, jokes, &c. all in abundance.
I can honestly say that this was one of the best nights out, in a long time.
Last night, was pretty awesome, too. We took
lord_of_smoking out for his birthday drinks, and we ran into
damnedsaint's Christine, who'd been having a fairly rough day, so we talked and hung out at the bar, as well as at our place.
The Dresden Dolls - [Gravity]--- We let her go, when she was sober enough to drive.
Tonight's excursion to The Corner Tavern was really a lot of fun. A little awkward, at first, but any interaction with people with whom you've only ever spoken in a fairly static medium, for any length, would be. Trying to get a feel for each other, and areas of conversation, and so on. After that initial stage, though, everything seemed to go fairly smoothly, and it was a completely engaging evening.
Warren Zevon - [The Indifference of Heaven (Live)]--- I hope that everyone else had as good a time. In the words of
greygirlbeast, we have been charmed. And how could we not, with such enchanting company?
Though I had only a few sips of
mech_angel's Strongbow, I feel light-headed, and giddy, from all the laughing, the inevitable contact drinking. It's like an empathic sport: How drunk can I get, from other people.
What I'm saying is, good night.
Nirvana - [Negative Creep]--- Oh. This song reminded me (long music conversations): Gotta buy Disintegration, tomorrow, or Byron will hunt me down.
